Active Textile Glove for Cooling and Personal Protection

نویسندگان

چکیده

Conventional gloves partially insulate against heat transfer from a hot external environment. They also prevent metabolic generated by the human body escaping. Thus, are source of buildup and stress in workers. Heat can lead to hyperthermia. Described herein is glove that cools using carbon nanotube (CNT) fabric micro-liner forced convection fan. A cold sink assumed be located cool air. This called an active textile glove. CNT has high thermal conductivity plane fabric, low through its thickness, large surface area for cooling. hand cooler air paper simulates performance CNT-cooled simple theoretical models. Cooling was demonstrated testing plate. Forced found provide greatest cooling effect, with it working synergy which aids spreading heat. acts as shield environmental dangers. The flame resistant, attenuates radio frequency waves, prevents smoke particles toxic chemicals entering Testing illustrates shielding properties fabric.

personal attitudes in environmental protection

concern for the environment is a constantly growing phenomenon. awareness of most peopleand governments in the world with regard to this question has risen. sometimes, this position is inverselyproportional to economic growth, leading to a situation where a more environmental stance on the part of end users has often not been supported by more restrictive environmental protection laws. this stu...

Application of personal non-lead nano-composite shields for radiation protection in diagnostic radiology: a systematic review and meta-analysis

composites with micro- and nano-metal fillers has attracted the attention of researchers for radiation shielding applications. Lead toxicity and heaviness have oriented extensive research toward the use of non-lead composite shields. The present study aimed to systematically review the efficiency of the composite shields of various micro- and nano-sized materials as composite shields have been ...

Assessment and Standardization of Personal Hearing Protection including Active Noise Reduction

The performance of passive hearing protection is normally quantified by the sound attenuation or insertion loss (IL). The IL allows prediction of the noise level at the eardrum for a given ambient noise spectrum. A subjective test (with test-signal levels at the threshold of hearing) is normally used to measure the sound attenuation. Active noise reduction requires a different assessment method...

Novel Active Transient Cooling Systems

Under this grant, we have conducted detailed studies of magnetocaloric nanomaterials for solid state cooling applications. Such materials are of great current interest, in fact, the current AFOSR MURI Topic #20 is exclusively devoted to solid state cooling. Our work on synthesis, characterization and property evaluation of magnetocaloric materials is summarized. Magnetic refrigeration systems o...
